Candlelight tours of Old City Cemetery
Residents of the Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia open their homes to visitors the end of October. Well actually, those visiting the cemetery will hear stories about numerous residents of Lynchburg’s oldest public cemetery. You will be guided from location to location within the cemetery where actors portraying various residents will tell their story of life and death.
This tour is a favorite of visitors staying at Lynchburg’s premier bed and breakfast, the Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast as well as countless locals. The tour dates are October 23rd, 28th, 29th and 30th. Tours start at 6:30, 6:50, 7:10, 7:30, 7:50 and 8:10pm and have sold out the previous two years. Several tour times have already sold out! If you are staying at The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast on one of these nights and you mention this tour, we will provide you with a ticket to this event (if tickets are still available) if you mention this tour at the time you make your reservation.
