Welcome to the Carriage House Inn!
It's true, "size does matter," so Innkeepers Kathy and Mike Bedsworth decided to keep their newly restored Virginia Bed and Breakfast small (four over-sized guest rooms) and intimate so they could better attend to their guests needs and deliver a high caliber of service.
Lynchburg, located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains along the banks of the James River, is also known as the "City of Seven Hills", or "The Hill City." It is also the home of Central Virginia Community College, Liberty University, Lynchburg College, Randolph College, Virginia University of Lynchburg and Sweet Briar College. We look forward to hosting parents, friends, and visitors to our local colleges.
The Carriage House Inn B & B in Lynchburg, VA is also a business friendly lodging accommodation. We offer the business traveler high-speed wireless internet access, Fax and copy service, scanning service and meeting space in our library by advance arrangements.
We will be adding a luxury suite and conference center in our 3000 square foot Carriage House, circa 1910 which is scheduled to open in summer 2009.
Great care has been taken to restore the 1878 Italianate mansion to its original grandeur while still making it a comfortable Lynchburg, Virginia Bed & Breakfast. It took over four years of restoration work to bring this beauty back to life. While staying at the B & B make sure you take a look at the 'before and after' photos. You will be amazed!
There is so much to see and do while visiting in Lynchburg, but we encourage you to take some time for yourself to just relax on our wraparound front porch with a glass of ice tea and a good book.
The guest rooms you see today are virtually the same as they appeared over a hundred years ago. Kathy spent numerous hours researching the colors of the late 1800’s to give visitors a glimpse of what the rooms looked like in years past.
We invite you to plan a stay with us at the Carriage House Inn Bed & Breakfast, where we promise to make it a Bed & Breakfast experience to remember!
