Movies in the park; great family fun.

Are you a Star Wars fan?  Do you enjoy movies shown outdoors?  Want to experience a Star Wars movie with other die-hard fans?  Then you will want to attend the Lynchburg Park and Rec showing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi when it is shown at Riverside Park on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 8:00 pm.

This is the third season that Lynchburg Parks and Rec has hosted “Movies in the Park.”  Each summer they become more and more popular.  Gather your family, friends, co-workers and others.  Bring your chairs, blankets, picnic supper or snacks and enjoy a great movie.  You may want to take advantage of the local food trucks and downtown restaurants that will be selling their delicious food and drinks.  Usually 5-7 food trucks or restaurants are available to choose from.  Food Trucks will begin serving 2 hours before the movie starts.  Vendors and sponsors will have information and booths for you to explore.  Or, you can get to Riverside Park early, snag your spot and then explore the park.  Exhibits, trails and more await you.

Free parking is available in three parking areas near the screen and seating areas.  Parking assistants will direct you to the parking areas.  All parking is first-come, first served.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi runs for 2 hours and 32 minutes.  In this movie Rey develops her newly found abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker, who is unsettled by the strength of her powers.  Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares for battle with the first order.

If you are staying with us at The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast we can prepare a “to go” box supper if you’d like.  Just be sure to mention this to us at least 48 hours prior to your arrival.  Additional fees apply.  Enjoy the movie!
